School Dinner Policy
Please could all dinner money be sent to school on a Monday morning in an envelope with your child’s name on. Unfortunately, dinner money received after Monday, will have to be returned to be re-submitted the following week as we are not allowed to keep money on school premises.
If your child wishes to change from packed lunch to school meals or vice verse, we require 1 months written notice of this and any changes will take place at the beginning of the next half term only. This is to allow Lancashire County Council, who run our School Kitchen time to amend their regular orders. Whatever choice is made for your child’s lunch time requirements will remain in place for the full half term
Credit unfortunately can not be in place for lunches. If you are outstanding with lunch money for 2 weeks a letter will be sent home informing you that you will be required to provide your child(ren) with a packed lunch the following week until all outstanding amounts are paid.
- Favourite Friday
Here at St. Pauls we have 'Favourite Fridays' where children are able to choose their meal off the menu for that day. Packed lunch children are welcome to have a school dinner just on a Friday. The above School Meal Policy also applies to Favourite Fridays.
- KS1 - Universal Free School Meals
All children in Early Years (Reception class) and KS1 (Year 1 & 2) are entitled to Universal Free School Meals. This is not manditory, your child can bring a packed lunch if preferred. If your child would like to join in Favourite Friday or any of the regular themed lunches then there would be no cost to you as parents as they would be paid for through Universal Free School Meals.
- KS2 - Cost of school dinners
School dinners are £11.75 per week, £2.35 per day for Friday Favourites.
Please make cheques payable to BWDBC Hoddlesden St. Paul's Primary School.
We cannot accept cheques for school trips, workshops, etc. with dinner money as they are paid into different accounts.
Please ask at the office if you have any queries.
