Sports Premium and PE Profile
Physical Education and Sport are very important at our school and each class has at least two, one hour sessions of physical activity a week. We believe that physical ability and sport can greatly contribute to the holistic development of a child.
Our vision for P.E. in our school is to provide children with a movement foundation for lifelong participation in physical activity. We support all children to be physically literate and encourage their development to be competent and confident movers.
It was first announced in 2013 that the government would be providing funding for physical education and school sport. We started to receive this funding from September 2014. The various ways we have used the funding and the impact that it is having in our school, are outlined in the document below.

100% of our Year 6 cohort 2019/2020 meet the National Curriculum requirement to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres, use a range of strokes effectively and perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations.
