Hoddlesden St Paul's Church of England Primary and Pre-School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Class Teacher to join our team from 1 September 2025. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 12 months, with the potential to become permanent. The role is suitable for both early career teachers and experienced educators.

📝 Role Overview

  • Position: Class Teacher

  • Start Date: 1 September 2025

  • Contract: Fixed-term for 12 months, with the capacity to become permanent

  • Working Pattern: Full-time

  • Key Stages: Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2

  • Pay Scale: M1 to UPS 3

 

🎯 What We're Looking For

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Has recent and successful experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or 2

  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge in English, Maths, and Computing

  • Is committed to creating an inclusive and high-quality learning environment

  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Is enthusiastic, organized, and highly motivated

  • Supports the Christian ethos of our school

  • Start Date: 1 September 2025

  • Contract: Permanent 

  • Working Pattern: Full-time and Part Time (Mornings)

  • Pay Scale: 3-5 

  • As a Teaching Assistant at St Paul’s, you will:

    • Support teaching and learning across the school
    • Work 1:1 and in small groups with children, including those with SEND
    • Help create a positive, safe and engaging classroom environment
    • Promote independence, confidence, and inclusion for all pupils
    • Contribute to planning and assessment, and support behaviour management

We’re seeking candidates who:

Have experience supporting children in an educational setting (ages 3–11)

  • Are confident supporting children with special educational needs
  • Understand child development and the Primary curriculum
  • Have strong literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
  • Are positive, empathetic and great team players
  • Are committed to the Christian ethos of our school
