Update on Communication Plan

Following feedback from recent consultations and questionnaire feedbacks, the SLT and Governors would like to reiterate how and when school will communicate with you and by what methods. 

We like to keep our parents, children and local community up to date with all the latest news and information.

 

Letters Home

We regularly send home letters regarding uniform, trips, news, and events. Please make sure you read the letters carefully and return any permission slips promptly. You can find copies of our letters under the News section of our website or from the school office.

 

App and Arbor Messaging

Since September 2022 we now communicate via 'In-App' messaging. We also send emails via Arbor to parents and carers on a weekly basis. 

 

Termly School Progress Reports

All parents and carers will receive a detailed report on the progression, development and improvement of school. This is written by the Headteacher, Governing Body and Senior Leadership Team. 

 

The Website

Copies of letters, information about the curriculum, policies and general information can be accessed via our website.

 

Social Media - Facebook

As well as the school website, we love to showcase our children's achievements on our Facebook page.

 

Parent Consultation Meetings

We hold parent meetings in the Autumn and Spring term. We believe that this provides you with the best opportunity to discuss individual's progress with class teachers. We are also happy to arrange meetings with individual parents at a convenient time if you there are any matters you wish to discuss.

 

Tapestry and Seesaw

All parents have access to the Tapestry (Early Years Children) and Seesaw (Yrs 1 to 6) which allows them to track rewards, progress and access photographs of work. These apps also allows parents to communicate with class teachers on matters pertaining to learning.

 

Newsletters

There is a monthly Headteacher's newsletter containing a variety of news, advice and information designed to support parents and children outside of school. Copies are always available from the website under the news section and paper copies can be picked up from our main office.

 

Sport Newsletters

There is a termly newsletter containing a variety of news and information about sport in school and celebrate children's achievements outside of school. Copies are always available from the website under the PE section and paper copies can be picked up from our main office.

 

Notice board

We have a large digital notice board at the front of school which contains information on forthcoming events and recent letters home.

 

Worships, Assemblies and Productions

We hold regular celebration assemblies. Parents and carers are always welcome to attend and share in the celebration of our children's achievements. All classes participate in a range of class worships and productions throughout the year and we hold a special assemblies for our Pre-School, Year 6 and Whole school achievers.

 

Annual Pupil Reports

All parents and carers will receive a detailed report of their child's progress in the second half of the summer term.
