Do you have a child who will turn 5 between 1st September 2020 and 31st August 2021?


If so s/he can start school in September 2021. Applications for next academic year open from 9th September 2020 and close on the 15th January 2021 for children starting school next year-September 2021/22..
The Local Authority would prefer families to make online applications. You can apply online at any time after the 9th September.
A limited number of paper copies of the admissions booklet are available from the school office.

Due to the latest COVID-19 school guidance we are unable to open school for visits at this time. We will be holding a live webinar in the coming weeks to share our curriculum, learning and environment. Joining Hoddlesden St. Paul's CE Primary from another local school or moving into the area 

We admit 30 children into each age group from Reception to Year 5. Historically the school had a Pupil Admission Number (PAN) of 28, therefore current Years 6 has a PAN of 28.  


Some children join St. Paul's from other schools and this is known as an 'in-year' admissions.

In-year admissions are managed centrally by BWD Council and are based on the current admission criteria for community schools.  Steps to joining St Paul's:

  1. Contact the school admissions team.
  2. Once you have been notified by the Council of a place at St.Paul's for your child(ren), make arrangements to visit us.  Contact us at School by telephone to arrange a tour. 
  3. A member of the Senior Leadership Team or Head teacher will meet you and your child(ren) to tour the school and answer any questions that you may have.
