What a busy icy week we have had this week.

We have been using our good concentration skills whilst completing lots of different activities including using the scissors and threading with the beads. We have enjoyed threading with the beads so much that we then made pasta necklaces using our fine motor skills so we could take them home.

We have been doing some learning this week on the importance of brushing our teeth, talking about what we can eat and drink that is good for our teeth along with making some big teeth dirty with pens and then cleaning them with the toothbrush we made. Along with talking about caring for our teeth lots of us have been sending in pictures and videos of us brushing our teeth at home which we have really enjoyed looking at and talking about.

In addition to sending in picture of us brushing our teeth we have also enjoyed looking at and exploring our baby pictures that have been sent in, we have loved to see our what we looked like when we was babies and talked about how we are now different.

This week we have continued to look at different jungle animals and have enjoyed completing some observational painting of the different animals in the ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ book and what wonderful paintings we have made. Along with doing some painting inside we have also been using our gross motor skills to paint with the rollers and large paint brushes outside.

Outside this week we have been observing the ice and talking about why the water is frozen, one of our friends said ‘it is colder than our fridge at home’. We have also been busy making dens, we have all been working together outside to make a den with the materials we have and building bricks, lots of us worked extremely well as a team using our communication skills and gross motor skills to build. We also had lots of fun exploring the paddock, we found some worms under the logs, some robins came to visit us and we found some ice that we enjoyed exploring.
