Oracy
The children at St Paul's develop their spoken language across all areas of the curriculum. They are regularly given opportunities to practise spoken language and listening skills through a range of activities, including drama and performance.
Oracy is the ability to articulate ideas, develop understanding and engage with others through spoken language. Oracy develops students’ confidence, articulacy and capacity to learn.

We aim to create an environment where every child is supported to find their voice and engage meaningfully with others, both in school and beyond. Our vision for oracy is to remove communication barriers and elevate speaking to the same status as reading and writing, ensuring that every child leaves primary school with the confidence and skills to articulate their thoughts, ideas, and feelings.
