St Paul's Church and School Sunday Worship

WOW Committee visiting the War Graves to lay poppies.

On Friday 10th November at 11pm St. Paul's School remembered the fallen of Hoddlesden and Waterside. The Head Boy and Head Girl welcomed everyone and laid the wreath on behalf of the school. Along with the Worship Leaders they read The Exhortation and said prayers.

St.Paul's would like to thank Mr Bob Aldcroft and Mr Chris Holden who played the Last Post.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed.

On Palm Sunday some children from school paraded around the village waving their palm branches and took part in a service at Church.

Mother's Day Service in Church

The Worship Committee did a marvellous job at the Mother's Day Service. They read beautiful readings, contributed a thoughtful power point, helped with the action songs and planted daffodil bulbs to give out to Mums. Thank you so much Worship Committee.

Barnabas in Schools Outreach Worship

Barnabas in Schools is a Christian outreach organisation that works with schools to deliver creative Worship and RE. Diana taught us about how special we all are to God in Worship. Afterwards the children took part in role-play, singing and games linked to the values of peace, friendship and forgiveness.

Priest in Charge Licensing Prayer from the Headteacher of St Paul's CE Primary

Let us pray,

God help us to build a flourishing community

Help us to grow into love.

Help us to find our roots of inspiration.

Help us to have a perspective that is filled with unfading hope.

God help us to build a flourishing community

Guide us to have unity and togetherness.

Guide us to have a respect of people, religion and nations.

Guide us to not to be afraid of change and express our thoughts and beliefs with humbleness.

God help us to build a flourishing community

Help us to care for our neighbours

Help us to trust and be thankful for our ‘garden fence’ chatter.

Help us to recognise chance made us neighbours and choice made us friends.

God help us to build a flourishing community

We do this in your name,

Amen
