We had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day this year! The children came dressed as their favourite characters and everyone looked absolutely incredible. The Values Committee had the difficult task of choosing the overall Best Dressed. Congratulations to Joseph from Year 1 who won the title for 2022!

We also held a poetry competition and had fantastic entries.

  • Covidella and the Masked Ball!

    Sun 08 Nov 2020

This year Pantoland is bereft, the pandemic has taken the wind out of the sails of even the most resilient fairy. Costumes are no longer covid compliant, the props are all problematic (not enough anti-bac), even the modes of transport are proving difficult.  That is until they receive a letter from Covidella offering some help.

As we unable to go to the theatre, as in previous years, we are having a lockdown, online pantomime performance streamed into school instead.

On the final week of term St Paul’s Hoddlesden will be watching a traditional pantomime, “Covidella and the Masked Ball”, from the safety of their class bubbles.

    Congratulations to the EYFS Team!

Last year saw the team undertake the Quality Mark for the Outdoors. It has been a huge team effort for all stakeholders to ensure our outdoor provision was the best it could be!

We are incredibly proud of our wonderful school, staff and most of all the children.

  • SCHOOL GAMES GOLD AWARD

    Mon 12 Aug 2019 CDugdale

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the School Games GOLD Mark Award for the second year running.

The School Games Mark is a Government led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

With a total of young people competing in local inter-school competitions this year, we are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our competitions possible.

As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year.

    A special thanks to:
Mrs Bass and Miss Greenwood for all of their planning and project management.

We look forward to applying once again in 2020!
